Daddy-O's Pub is proud to call Lewisville, Texas - Home!  Lewisville has a rich history of being a party town with it's Lake, Bars, and Live Music.  Did you know that Lewisville was once home to 17 Saloons in the 1800's?  Or, that Lewisville had a Large Music Festival that featured Live Bands from Woodstock in 1969?  Today, we'd love to give you an insight to our favorite city and our home - Lewisville, Texas!

In 1841, Peters Colony Land Grant Company was commissioned to settle the North Texas area by the Republic of Texas.  An interesting note is that the company was named after William Smalling Peters who published the song "Oh! Susanna".  During this time the settlers from Platte County, Missouri settled on the west side, this included John and James Holford, who named the area that would eventually become Lewisville - "Holford's Prairie".  In 1853, Basdeal Lewis purchased Holford's Prairie and named it after himself - "Lewisville".

Meet The Kegbot - The Future of Bars and Brew Pubs!

What is a Kegbot?

Though there are different varieties of the Kegbot, like Betsy created by engineers: Reto Meier, Fred Chung, et al.  The Kegbot is a free, open source project to turn your beer tap or kegerator into an automatic beer pouring and computerized drink tracking robot.

You've got to love it when scientist study the affects of alcohol on people. Not all research studies are negative campaigns against drinking, bars, and people who love to have a few beers!  Daddy-O's Pub loves it when scientists find something positive in having a few drinks.  Especially, when they find that people who drink a pint or two of beer or one or two glasses of wine were quicker and better in creative problem solving than their sober campadres!

Daddy-O's Pub is a great Lewisville bar to come kick back, chill & unwind, and hang out with friends or make some new ones. We have the best drinks and drink specials in town! Captain Morgan Black - $5.50

Captain Morgan Black rum has a depth of flavor. It is a blend of pot stilled rum and continuous stilled rums from Jamaica, Guyana & Barbados and is aged in oak and has a dark, full-bodied color and distinctive rich taste that are unmistakable.

Daddy-O's Pub Bartenders have notice that our patrons Really LOVE Jäger! Whether it is in a Shot or Bombed Away as a Jägerbomb, this tasty liqueur is proudly served at our bar and is featured twice in Daily Drink Specials - Margarita Monday and Thirsty Thursday - Service Industry Night for only $4! If you love Jägermeister, you'll love Daddy-O's Pub in Lewisville. So for today's posting, we're going to give you some information about Jäger.

Have you ever thought what in the heck does Jägermeister mean in German? What it means with literal translation is "hunt-master". Another, possible translation might be "gamekeeper".  Hence the reason for its logo, which shows the head of a stag with a glowing Christian cross between its antlers. Its logo is a reference to the stories of Saint Hubertus and Saint Eustace, both patron saints of hunters!

Maker's Mark 46 is a Monthly Drink Special for March at Daddy-O's Pub in Lewisville. Maker's Mark has a fine tradition of making smooth tasting Bourbons. Maker's Mark 46 for $6.50 is not something you want to miss out on.  Before the month ends, you really should come out and try a shot or two of Maker's Mark 46!

Ah the joy's of how Maker's Mark 46 is made.... First, the original Makers Mark is removed from it's barrel. Then, Ten French Oak Staves are affixed to the inside of the existing barrel. These staves are slowly seasoned and cooked in order to caramelize the sugars in the wood. This process helps provide Maker’s 46 with its distinct taste.

The Month of March is turning out to be a busy one for Daddy-O's Pub! All this week has been the beginning of NCAA March Madness!  Saturday, We're going to have One of the Best St. Patrick's Parties in Town.  Today, Daddy-O's Pub is announcing some new drink additions to our bar!  Make sure you come out this week and try some of our new offerings.

Daddy-O's Pub is proud to serve The Original - Twisted Tea - Hard Iced Tea for $3 per bottle.  We'll be serving 3 thirst quenching flavors of Twisted Tea: The Original, Half and Half, and Raspberry!  Twisted Tea was introduced by the Boston Beer Company in 2001.  If you are not familiar with the Boston Beer Company, they are the makers of Sam Adams!

As Daddy-O's Pub wrote before, our drink specials menu has changed for the month of March.  Today, we want to talk about one of our new monthly drink specials - Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper!

As you may not know, Southern Comfort is not a Whiskey! You may be scratching your head and saying "What in the World are You Talking About?  Are You Insane?" "NO!" Seriously, Southern Comfort for years now have not distilled whiskey for most of their product offerings. The only product that Southern Comfort still distils as a "Whiskey" is their "Special Reserve". All the other products from Southern Comfort are a liqueur made from a "neutral" tasting spirit with whiskey flavorings that vary from 100 proof (50% Alcohol by Volume) to 55 proof (27.5 Alcohol by Volume).
