Meet The Kegbot - The Future of Bars and Brew Pubs!

What is a Kegbot?

Though there are different varieties of the Kegbot, like Betsy created by engineers: Reto Meier, Fred Chung, et al.  The Kegbot is a free, open source project to turn your beer tap or kegerator into an automatic beer pouring and computerized drink tracking robot.

The Kegbot is intended for beer enthusiasts, DIY hackers, home brewers, bars and anyone with an interest in technology and beer. The Kegbot was started by Mike Wakerly when he had too much time on his hands in 2003. To this date, he remains the maintainer of this project and is to blame for virtually all of the coding (good or bad).  But, who's to blame for making an uber cool beer drinking gadget?  This Open Source Project has two components: Open Source Software and the Open Source Kegboard.  With these two components combined, you can create your very own Kegbot to serve your favorite brewsky from a pre-existing beer tap or kegerator.  It has tons of features that can be found from the projects website. The Kegbot is a free, open source project, licensed under the GPL version 2. Software Code, documentation, and the how-to-build a Kegbot are available under these terms on the Kegbot Website.
